1. Let Your Neighbours Know
Before your move, kindly inform your neighbours that a moving truck will be parked outside and that there may be some noise. This will help to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the move, particularly if parking or access might be restricted.
2. Preparing Your Home for the Move
Clear Access: Ensure clear walkways between your home and the truck. Remove any obstacles like baby gates, boxes, or other items that could block the way. If you need assistance removing doors or any furniture items, please let us know in advance.
Parking Space: Our trucks are large (4.3m tall and 10m long). If you have a driveway, ensure it’s clear for the truck to park. If parking on the street, arrange for space to be available, especially if you live in a congested area. For shared driveways, we suggest asking neighbours to park elsewhere during the move.
3. Packing Your Belongings
Use Sturdy Boxes: Proper packing saves time and ensures the safety of your items. We recommend using sturdy removal cartons. Pack heavier items in smaller boxes and lighter items in larger boxes.
Label Boxes: Label all boxes with their contents and the room they belong to. This helps both you and our team quickly organize and unload your belongings at the new location.
Protect Fragile Items: Use bubble wrap or packing paper to secure fragile items. If you’re packing these items yourself, please ensure they are safely wrapped to prevent damage. We may refuse to move items that aren’t properly packed, such as loose glassware in an open carton.
4. Preparing Furniture and Appliances
Empty All Drawers: For safety reasons, we recommend that all furniture and appliances be emptied before the move. Leaving items inside can cause damage to both the furniture and the contents, especially during transport or when navigating stairs.
Disassembly of Large Furniture: If necessary, please disassemble items like beds, corner desks, or trampolines ahead of time. If you require assistance with this, let us know before the moving day to include it in your quotation.

Pets and Children: If possible, arrange for pets and children to stay elsewhere during the move. This ensures the crew can work efficiently without needing to avoid areas with pets or small children.
6. Timing and Waiting Periods
If there are any settlement delays or you’re waiting to collect keys, we will try to time these waits with our scheduled breaks (11 am–1 pm). If a delay is unavoidable, waiting times are chargeable at the hourly rate. This applies to both hourly rate and fixed price moves.
7. Reasonable Access
Our quotes are based on “reasonable access,” meaning we can safely move your items using standard trolleys, straps, or other equipment. If there are long walks, multiple flights of stairs, or balcony moves, please inform us as these may require additional time and resources, which could impact the final cost.
8. Payment
For hourly rate moves, payment is calculated from depot to depot in 15-minute increments after a one-hour minimum. For fixed price moves, the price is based on the information you provide in your inventory. If there are significant changes on the day (e.g., more items or access issues), additional charges may apply.
9. Moving Day Checklist
